Cambodia is a Southeast Asian nation whose landscape spans low-lying plains, the Mekong Delta, mountains and Gulf of Thailand coastline. Phnom Penh, its capital, is home to the art deco Central Market, glittering Royal Palace and the National Museum's historical and archaeological exhibits. In the country's northwest are the ruins of Angkor Wat, a massive stone temple complex built during the Khmer Empire.
Cambodia is located in Southeast Asia in the tropical zone, just 10-13 degrees north off the equator. Like most of Southeast Asia, Cambodia is warm to hot year round and the climate is dominated by the annual monsoon cycle with its alternating wet and dry seasons.
The Cambodian Riel is the currency of Cambodia.

For fine skills, textiles, statues and carvings along with silver work and even art, Cambodia is a treasure travel. The Buddhism themed items are sold in boutiques, on the street and in large markets both in Phnom Penh and Seim Reap and generally speaking, specific items for sale are to be found in specific parts of the towns. However, in certain markets, without a basic foundation in the Khmer language you’ll find it nigh on impossible to bargain prices down so make sure you take a Khmer- speaking friend along or stick to big markets.
